Another boxed garden.

Gee I love Remodelista. Another image of what I'd love it achieve in my own garden with a planter box. I like the height of the box in this example. It's a garden done by Verdant Gardens Design in NYC.

Thrifty wall decor.

If you’re the crafty type (which sometimes I am) this is an idea that you might like to try. As seen on the lovely and delightful Design Files Daily this is from a tour of Tara Pearce’s home. The comment and only instructions read:
“It’s just pieces of butchers paper, woven through a circle of chicken wire, spraypainted yellow!  Do not ask me how.  Amazing.”

Good luck with that. It’s just as visually impressive as a Juju hat, a fraction of a fraction of the cost, and possibly more culturally sensitive? Does anyone know their origins?

Boxed garden.

I love Remodelista. Following my previous post on those plant boxes here are more design options via Remodelista for window variety garden boxes. Sure these aren’t available here in Oz, but it’s still good to see more examples. I want to line up a heap of these in my yard.

Sources: Both via Remodelista. Pine Window Box is unfinished for you to paint as desired (Jamali Garden, $36 - $54). Teak Windowboxes already beautifully finished (Gardeners Supply Company, $55.95 - $137).

Cheap & chic planters.

Doesn’t Gwen Steffani look amazing? She does. But I’m focussing on the cool foliage backdrop. See the pretty basic planters used here? I reckon even I could knock up some of these beauties. A future project perhaps.

Light my fire.

I love this lighting solution by Benedikte Ugland as seen on Remodelista. Kitchen lighting is so important. I know this because mine isn’t great (there are times that I have to use my range hood light to see what I’m doing and make sure I don’t cut my fingers off).

It’s great to have an image of something like this, because trust me so many tradies can’t visualise new things. You have to show them.

Magic pictures.

OK, OK, I admit I’m not getting married anytime soon – I hear that you really need a groom to do that. But should I ever tie that knot this is what I’d be aiming for with my wedding. I think this couple and the photographer are amazing. Thanks go to Coco & Kelley for pointing out this great find.

The photographer is Jonas Peterson, he's based in Brisbane and it looks like he's up for travelling around Oz for work.

The wedding is at Penny's Hill winery in the McLaren Vale (South Australian) and the glamorous dress is by Jenny Packham.

I love that there are so many great shots here that you could frame and hang in your home and they don't look like lame, cookie cutter pictures of your won wedding. These are really interesting images that capture so much.

IKEA Hack helpers.

This via the amazing Remodelista, some clever Swedes are offering little legs to jazz up your IKEA purchases - they're called Prettypegs. Great idea and a lovely range, but if you are a true hacker you could maybe fashion something yourself for a lot less.

Definitely worth a look, but also take a trip to Bunnings before making any purchase.

I have to say that their website isn't that easy to move around, it all feels very protected like they don't want to make it too easy for you - case in point the image above. Please go to Remodelista if you're interested as they do a much better job of selling this pretty little peg legs.
